I Can See It All Tonight by M. Craft
released 2/6/04

You know the feeling: you just bought something on iTunes, and all you have left in your account is some obnoxious amount like $6.72. What good does that do you? Sure, you can get six random songs, but not an entire album.

Enter the EPs. Often you can find seemingly non-existent smaller albums from your favorite artists or from bands you didn’t even know existed. These are usually around the $5-7 range, and I recently discovered a gem.

Newly released music is all well and good, but there are those times when you happen upon a singer/band that has been out there for years, completely unbeknownst to you or your iPod. M. Craft is one such artist.

Craft is from Australia and started out with a rock band before moving on to a solo career that was launched with the EP “I Can See It All Tonight.” The two beautiful things about this six-song debut? Every song is thoroughly enjoyable, and you can find it on iTunes for less than 6 bucks.

This initial album was released over five years ago, but the music still sounds fresh. From the eerie, ethereal qualities of “Dragonfly” and the dark, soulful undertones of “Sweets” to the upbeat smorgasbord of harmonies on “Come to My Senses” and the peaceful instrumental piece “Solitaire,” this album is one to be enjoyed over and over again. Rarely will you find a collection of songs so short (less than 30 minutes long) that doesn’t feel overplayed if you just let it repeat.

So if you have a random six-and-change amount sitting in your iTunes account, look no further than M. Craft’s debut EP. You’ll find it to be money well spent.
